This is an interesting take on grief. The turn in the middle where she sees the scarecrow at the table, but it is her father, is really cool. Like the body horror at the end too. Nice work!

Wow. The Scarecrow does live. I always like to picture them as being alive and maybe waving when I pass by. If they did, I'd definitely wreck my car but it might be worth it for a minute. Thank you so much for sharing, Grace.

I LOVED this!!! The concept is brilliant and I love that she thought it was a prank. Also love that we get no explanation—some things just don’t need it, ya know? And this is definitely one of those and I’m so glad you didn’t try to explain. The only thing I thought was off was a line by the mother—it just felt a little unnecessary—but it was one line. The rest of this was utterly perfect and so fun and chilling. LOVE IT!!!!!
